Health Start Coaching
We walk with lead pastors as they begin new positions and manage change in life and ministry.
Healthy Start Coaching involves ten coaching sessions provided for lead pastors in new positions to help them lay a good foundation for faithful and fruitful life and ministry. The coaching focuses on the transition needs of their families, getting to know their new congregation, and preparing for gospel impact in their new community.

Why do we do it?
When starting new positions, pastors face common challenges. The relocation of a pastor’s family can be stressful and the learning curve of the first six months can be overwhelming and complex. It’s also true that the habits pastors develop in their first six to nine months can become established patterns of life and ministry.
What results have we seen?
Pastors who have participated in Healthy Start Coaching have shared they have gained clarity in thinking about what is most important, understanding the culture and needs of their new congregation, and peace from knowing they aren’t alone but part of the Alliance district family.
What’s the focus?
Root lives and ministries in the gospel for whole heart transformation
Cultivate practices for fruitful community and mission with a vision for increasing gospel impact
Engage the church through listening and leading small changes to build trust and to keep the focus on Jesus
