NATE AND SHARON HOWARD
District Superintendent and Care Specialist
Nate and Sharon have had the privilege of serving as the District Superintendent couple for the C&MA Eastern PA District since 2018. With a pastor's heart, designed by God and refined over 43 years in C&MA ministries in Lombard, IL, Ecuador, NYC, and 22 years in Vineland, NJ, they celebrate God’s call on their life with joy and a deep sense of privilege.
Nate's profound love for Jesus and His church propels his vision to spearhead a movement for Gospel transformation and multiplication throughout Eastern PA. For Sharon, being part of the district family is a cherished gift. One of her passions is to pray for pastors' wives and women in ministry. The John 15 picture of abiding is Sharon’s passion, and it flows into her longing that each worker would be known and not alone.
Together, Nate and Sharon are blessed with three adult married sons and eight grandchildren.
ALAN RATHBUN
DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR
Alan Rathbun enjoys asking thoughtful questions and the opportunity he has to encourage and equip pastors to help them be faithful and fruitful with Jesus. He's surprised as anyone to have spent his whole ministry career so far in Harrisburg, PA. He first served as a youth pastor, then as a church planter, and now serves in his current role with the district. He's married to Sandra, his college sweetheart from Lancaster Bible College, and they have 2 sons, 1 daughter, 1 daughter-in-love, and 1 son-in-love. He is always up for a road trip, especially if it includes exploring God's beautiful creation, watching some baseball, or eating good ice cream.
DAVID DIXON
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
David grew up in a military family and moved frequently throughout his formative years. He first responded to the Gospel as a child in his family’s Virginia home. Later, during his junior year of high school in Staten Island, he would sense a call of the Holy Spirit to vocational ministry. David graduated from Lancaster Bible College and began serving in a non-Alliance church in Florida. It was there, through friends and a love for volleyball, that he met his wife Melissa. They have been married for 14 years and have five kids. Over the past 13 years, David has had the opportunity to serve in local Alliance churches as a Student Pastor, Administrative Pastor, Church Planter, and Lead Pastor across Eastern PA, where now he serves as the Executive Director.
BRENDA VERNA
ADMINISTRATIVE SPECIALIST
Brenda came to the District Office in March 2014 having previously served as Bookkeeper and Administrative Assistant at Immanuel Church in Mechanicsburg. She and her husband, Ernie, have four adult children, two of whom were adopted from Haiti. An amazing son-in-law has joined their family, as well as two delightful grandsons.
JEFF HEINAMAN
OPERATIONS SPECIALIST
Jeff moved back to Lancaster and joined the district team in 2021 after serving as Executive Pastor at Stonecrest Community Church in Warren, NJ. During the first half of his career, he worked in Accounting and IT with Johnson & Johnson and The BOC Group after graduating from Franklin & Marshall College. Jeff and his wife, Sharon, have been married for 35 years and have three adult daughters.
KASSI ROEDDING
COMMUNICATIONS SPECIALIST
Kassi served for five years as the marketing and communication specialist for CAMA and Alliance Missions in Colorado Springs before joining the district in 2021. She has a bachelor's degree in communication and began her career at an ad agency. She spent 16 years of her childhood as an Alliance missionary kid in Quito, Ecuador.

DEXCOM MEMBERS
The District Executive Committee (DEXCOM) is the board of directors of the District and oversees the district’s administrative work. Members are elected by the District Conference, the legislative body of the District consisting of official licensed workers of the district and other representatives from district churches.
